Review the driver’s duties during a receiving delay
Use a sample delivery with a delayed receiving slot. Identify where the driver waits, which duties remain and who reviews the changed assignment. A cargo appointment and a duty-status record answer different questions.
Product temperature, food condition and handling certification need their own evidence. A driver log may describe activity timing, but it does not prove that a refrigerated load stayed within a specified range.

Bring the actual truck configuration
Ask Factor ELD to demonstrate vehicle selection and log review for the proposed version, referring to the PT30 manual where applicable. Confirm each engine, connector and mobile-device combination.
If a driver or tractor changes during the delay, verify the incoming assignment and required earlier-record access. Keep any temperature or cargo integration as a separately confirmed requirement.
For the broader fleet discussion, see refrigerated. Use the ELD rollout checklist to assign training and review responsibilities, and check ELD applicability for the actual operation.
Meat and seafood transport questions
Does waiting for a receiver automatically count as rest?
No. Determine the actual duties and applicable status conditions.
Will the ELD certify the cold chain?
Not as part of this driver-record scope. Use the appropriate verified temperature and handling records.
