- Confirm miles versus kilometers and capture both displayed values without applying an offset.
- Match the physical VIN, ELD vehicle profile, device serial, and cable to the truck.
- Compare dashboard odometer, ECM-derived miles, engine hours, and the timestamp of the ELD event.
- Check for recent changes to the engine, instrument cluster, tire size, device, cable, or vehicle assignment.
- Ask the provider which field and source the product displays; correct only under the documented procedure.
- Run a measured route and verify the new events while retaining the original mismatch and support ticket.
