Choosing the Right ELD Cable: OBD-II, 6-Pin, or 9-Pin?

Identify the physical diagnostic connector, vehicle year, engine, ECM protocol, and the exact cable specified by the ELD provider before ordering. Do not infer compatibility from connector shape alone; obtain written provider confirmation and complete an engine-on test that verifies VIN, vehicle motion, miles, and engine hours.
