Do not move hardware between vehicles without reassignment and a new acceptance test.
PT30 pre-deployment verification sequence
- Match the exact FACTOR ELD/PT30 registration, hardware/software version, vehicle, connector, and provider-specified cable.
- With power off, inspect connector access, cable routing, mounting, strain relief, and diagnostic-port availability under the current Factor instruction.
- Power the vehicle, assign the device to the correct vehicle profile, and pair the named driver device through the documented app path.
- Verify VIN, engine power, miles, engine hours, motion, driver login, and malfunction/diagnostic indicators.
- Create a controlled driving event, stop, review the record, certify a sample day, and complete the registered transfer/display method.
- Record device/cable serials, versions, screenshots, truck, installer, test route, defects, support case, and acceptance.
