Account for each receiving-point change
Choose a sample shift with more than one destination for material removed from a jobsite. Identify who determines the receiving point and how a rejection or changed destination is communicated to the driver. The record review should follow the actual movements and duties.
Keep waste classification, disposal authorization and material receipts in their proper processes. An ELD record can describe driver activity without establishing that a load was accepted or disposed of correctly.
Demolition hauling evaluation worksheet
| Shift event | Review question |
|---|---|
| Jobsite pickup | What driver work occurs before departure? |
| First receiving facility | What waiting and unloading duties are performed? |
| Destination changes | Who reviews the extra travel and revised assignment? |
| Return to site | Is the correct truck and driver assignment still clear? |
Bring the actual truck configuration
The Factor PT30 manual describes vehicle selection and record review. Use that workflow to check a spare truck if the hauling plan includes vehicle changes.
Confirm each engine, connector and mobile-device combination individually. Construction or waste-hauling terminology does not itself establish an exception; have the carrier assess the actual operation.
For the broader fleet discussion, see waste hauling. Use the ELD rollout checklist to assign training and review responsibilities, and check ELD applicability for the actual operation.
Demolition hauling questions
Does the ELD establish the waste classification?
No. Classification and disposal records require their own qualified process.
Can a receiving rejection be ignored because no material was unloaded?
The resulting driving, waiting and other driver work still belong in the review of the day.
