ELD for Fuel Delivery Fleets

Factor ELD helps fuel delivery fleets evaluate driver records across several unloading stops. Bring a complete route so travel, delivery duties and return work can be reviewed with the proposed ELD setup.

Separate delivery work from the metered transaction

Choose a sample route with more than one delivery. Identify the driver’s preparation, travel, responsibilities at each customer and return duties. A completed meter transaction is not the same as the end of all driver work at that stop.

Keep fuel quantity, tank levels, product identity and delivery receipts in their appropriate systems. The driver-log evaluation does not promise a metering or inventory integration.

Bring the actual truck configuration

Use the vehicle-selection and log-review tasks in the Factor PT30 manual as demonstration topics for that version. Confirm each engine, connector and mobile-device combination before expansion.

Ask which driver and office records are visible in the proposed product. Any hazardous-material or route-specific requirements need separate review; the ELD does not classify the cargo or approve the delivery procedure.

For the broader fleet discussion, see tanker. Use the ELD rollout checklist to assign training and review responsibilities, and check ELD applicability for the actual operation.

Fuel delivery questions

Will the ELD reconcile delivered gallons?

Not as part of the driver-log scope described here. Verify any separate metering feature or integration.

Does a short multi-stop route automatically avoid ELD requirements?

No. Review the actual operation and every condition of any applicable exception.
