Account for service tasks at the customer site
Use a representative day that includes both travel and the driver’s actual delivery or service duties. If the driver performs additional customer-site work, include it in the activity review rather than assuming the stop ends with product transfer.
Propane quantity, tank condition, leak checks and other service documentation belong to separate procedures. A driver-log entry does not establish that those tasks were completed correctly.
Propane delivery evaluation worksheet
| Daily activity | Question for the trial |
|---|---|
| Before departure | When does preparation and assigned work begin? |
| Road travel | Is the correct named driver connected to the correct truck? |
| Customer site | Which delivery and service duties are actually performed? |
| End of route | What remaining work occurs before the driver is relieved? |
Bring the actual truck configuration
The PT30 manual documents vehicle selection and log review. Ask Factor ELD to demonstrate those tasks for the proposed equipment and mobile-device version.
Confirm engine and connector fit individually. Review any special operational or emergency provision separately; seasonal demand or a propane cargo label does not itself authorize an exception.
For the broader fleet discussion, see tanker. Use the ELD rollout checklist to assign training and review responsibilities, and check ELD applicability for the actual operation.
Propane delivery questions
Does the ELD certify customer tank safety?
No. Tank and service checks require their own qualified procedures and documentation.
Can customer-site work be ignored because the truck is parked?
Review actual duties and apply the appropriate recording rules; stationary does not automatically mean off duty.
