Include both ends of the transfer leg
Choose a sample movement from a transfer facility to a destination. Identify loading readiness, driver duties while waiting, road travel, receiving work and the return assignment. This is a linehaul-style transfer review rather than a neighborhood collection route.
Keep load classification, scale results and disposal authorization in their own processes. A driver record does not certify that the receiving site accepted the material.
Waste transfer hauling evaluation worksheet
| Transfer stage | Evidence to review |
|---|---|
| Origin facility | Assigned driver and actual loading or waiting duties |
| Road leg | Correct vehicle connection and required record access |
| Destination | Receiving delay and driver work |
| Return assignment | Remaining travel and complete day considered |
Bring the actual truck configuration
Use vehicle selection and log review from the Factor PT30 manual to frame the demonstration for that product version. Confirm truck engine, cable and phone compatibility individually.
If a different tractor or driver takes the next transfer, include that parked handoff in the trial. Do not assume that the same trailer or load means the same driver record applies.
For the broader fleet discussion, see waste hauling. Use the ELD rollout checklist to assign training and review responsibilities, and check ELD applicability for the actual operation.
Waste transfer hauling questions
Is this the same evaluation as a curbside collection route?
The shared ELD tasks may overlap, but the transfer-leg worksheet focuses on work and waiting at both terminals and the road assignment between them.
Does a scale record replace the driver’s log?
No. Keep the complete driver record and relevant business documents for their respective purposes.
